Trademark Symbol: Space or No Space in SEO Copy?

If you're writing SEO copy for a company with strict trademark guidelines, you might be missing out on potential rankings and traffic for these keywords by attaching a trademark symbol to it. We'll never really know for sure whether symbols like this affect search engine results, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Some companies have more license than others to bend the rules for better rankings. Dropping the trademark symbol entirely is ideal, but another option is to add a space in between your brand and ™ or ®.
