My Conversation With Yahoo Sponsored Search

Yahoo is on a huge PR push to improve customer service. I hope they haven't actually started yet?

I received a call yesterday, it was from someone within Yahoo Sponsored Search. The call went something like this...

Hi, this is xxxxx from Yahoo. You emialed us a a few weeks ago about a client wanting to go from credit card to invoicing?

I chuckled and said yes.

He told me that they would need to spend over $10,000 a month for at least 3 months before Yahoo would allow them to start invoicing the account.

I thanked him and hung up.

I searched my sent messages and the email was sent on September 20th. Over a month ago!!

I am glad it wasn't an issue with the account shutting off or something more serious.

Where Is Shopping Engine Data?

I was searching for Shopping Engine Data and figured it would take seconds to find the information I am seeking (traffic, market share, demographics, etc...). Boy was I wrong.

Current information is no where to be found. When I would finally find something, it was from over 3 years old.

The most current information I have found so far is from 2005 from iMediaConnection.com.

Is it hard to find this information because no one is interested, it is too difficult to gather, or the shopping engines do not want it public? Hmmm....
