Yahoo Trying To Improve Customer Service

If you read any of the blogs or forums about Yahoo paid search, you will easily find customer service complaints. I have definitely had my share as well.

However, I have noticed a significant improvement lately.

1. When adding terms to Yahoo, they are getting added in less than 48 hours. It was only a couple of months ago where I would not expect the terms to be added for 5 to 7 business days.

2. Once the terms are approved I am receiving immediate emails that the keywords are now live.

3. After a few submissions I received an email survey from Yahoo. They wanted to know my comments regarding the submission process and any suggestions on how to improve (email is below).

I think Yahoo is finally learning that they MUST take care of their customers to stay in business. I hope this emphasis on customer service continues throughout the interface changes that should take place in the next few months.

Adwords System Down

Have a paid search account in Google? If you are planning to make any changes to the account on Saturday the 23rd, you will need to make other arrangements.

From Google:

"On September 23, 2006, AdWords system will be unavailable from approximately 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time due to system maintenance.

Please note that your campaigns will continue to run normally during this short downtime. We apologize for any inconvenience."
